I’ve been using Tide Free & Gentle for my laundry and really like it so far. It cleans clothes well without being harsh, and there’s no strong fragrance which is perfect for sensitive skin. My clothes come out fresh, soft, and clean even with regular washes. The bottle lasts a good amount of time too. Definitely a great option if you want a gentle but effective detergent.

I’m giving Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent 5 stars because it does a great job cleaning clothes while still being gentle on skin. I like that it is free of dyes and perfumes, which makes it a good choice for people who are sensitive to strong scents or regular scented detergents.
The cleaning quality is very good. Clothes come out fresh, clean, and soft without any heavy fragrance left behind. It works well for everyday laundry like shirts, towels, bedding, and kids’ clothes. I also appreciate that it dissolves well in the wash and does not leave residue on clothes when used correctly.
The size is also convenient. The 84 fl oz bottle gives 64 loads, so it lasts a good amount of time and feels like a good value. The bottle is easy to store, and the cap makes it simple to measure the right amount.
The scent is very mild, which is exactly what I wanted. It does not have that strong perfume smell that some detergents have, but the laundry still feels clean. The strength is good enough for regular stains and daily use, while still being gentle enough for sensitive skin.
Overall, this is a dependable detergent with good cleaning power, a gentle formula, and no overpowering scent. I would definitely buy it again and recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, simple laundry detergent that is easier on the skin.

This has been great for sensitive skin - no issues whatsoever. I also really appreciate I can use this on the coldest setting to save energy and it works just as well. Using it to pretreat stains is also effective! Got rid of some harsh sweat marks.

I absolutely love Tide Free & Gentle Liquid Laundry Detergent. I have very sensitive skin, and since switching to this detergent, I haven’t had a single breakout. That alone is a huge win for me.
What makes it even better is that I feel completely comfortable using it for my baby’s clothes too. It’s gentle, clean, and doesn’t have any harsh fragrances or irritants. Everything comes out fresh without that overpowering scent.
If you have sensitive skin or a little one at home, I highly recommend this , definitely a 5/5 from me!

If you are looking for the "regular" Tide Free & Gentle, Amazon does not carry it - only the high efficiency (HE) detergent!
Because of my sensitive skin, I can only use the Tide Free and Gentle. I do not have a high efficiency (HE) washer, and I thought Amazon had the "regular" detergent because of what I saw on the screen when ordering, but they do not carry it either!
I will keep the detergent, because as I said above that is the only detergent I can use and not have a breakout!

Please screw the top on the tide tighter. It came in the manufacturer's box and leaked out some. The manufacturer needs to make sure the top is tightly screwed before shipping.

I love that this Tide Free & Gentle has in unscented and free of dyes, making it perfect for my grandson's and my sensitive skin. Previously, I had been using All's version, but, while I find All to be just as good for sensitive skin, Tide is slightly more effective when it comes to tough stains. Whites and colors both come out bright. Cold water washing is just as effective as warm.
My washing machine takes HE detergent only, and this Tide is indeed concentrated. Especially since I have a septic system, I need a detergent that is gentle. This checks all the boxes.

Only detergent i use. Also use the sports laundry sanitizer by clorox. Haven't needed any other products but a stain remover that duplicates as a cleaning aid and a gentle detergent for delicate or special items. Very light scent. Good value and big bottle. I use this detergent faithfully. I have four kids and a UPS driving husband, I am washing frequently. I have good luck with stain removal - I always throw a little Borox and Arm and Hammer in every load to ensure good results. The bottle this comes in is easy to handle and a good size, I can easily handle the weight (I wouldn't want to at 70/80 years old). The detergent dissolves nicely and I never have any remains on my clothes.

The product works and is great for sensitive skin and people with scent allergies it sensitivity.
On the other hand, the packaging and delivery be Amazon is atrocious. I came home to a leaking box that managed to get everywhere. When I opened it, I discovered an inch and a half of liquid and absolutely no packaging at all in the box, just the product with a broken lid. After a far too difficult exchange process where I was originally told to ship it back, I managwd to contact a representative that took 20 minutes for a 2 minute resolution and a new one was sent out the following day. The second package had some brown butcher paper for packaging, but was also damaged in transit and I discovered a small crack on the bottom, causing it to slowly leak. I do not recommend buying this from Amazon.

I made the switch to this detergent because of recurring skin sensitivity in my family, and it has made a significant difference. My main priority was finding a product without the dyes and perfumes that are common irritants, and this Tide formula fits the bill perfectly. We have to use detergent that is free of stuff, due to allergic reactions. This does not have a scent, and does not irritate our skin. We prefer Tide, because it still gets the stains out while also providing the free & clear that we need. We never have issues with leakage, the product always arrives sealed and leak free. Great product that removes stains well, dissolves well, didn't leak on arrival, and seems skin safe. HOWEVER, terrible packaging. If you use the measuring cup and don't fully wash and remove all residue, then put it back it will leak all over the packaging. Who thought it was a good idea to have the measuring cup FACE DOWN was a good idea?

I have eczema and my doctor recommended a laundry detergent that didn't have any fragrance.

It's not really free...and i cannot analyze the gentleness % compared to a normal gentle baseline so the name is kinda misleading but it works. Doesn't take out stains as well as regular tide....so actually not sure why i really bought this and keep on buying it. Good self reflection I had here. Thanks Amazon!

Surely you know what Tide is. We started getting the free and clear so we could wash all the clothes, even newborn clothes, and for those adults who are certain that they will break into hives because of all the “chemicals,” but are fine if you don’t say anything about it.

I’ve always loved how well Tide works, but my skin is super sensitive, so I switched to the Free & Gentle version — and it’s been perfect. It doesn’t have any strong fragrance or dyes, but it still gets my clothes just as clean as the original formula.
